Use of modern teaching tools in higher education institutions: problems and possible solutions

Relevance of research. Digitization of education is the introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the educational process at all levels, aimed at the development of 21st century skills in young people (in particular, the analysis of the reliability of received information, the application of critical thinking), the maximum use of multimedia content for various educational purposes, which intensifies the educational process due to the use of interactive teaching methods. Therefore, education and science systems must undergo fundamental digital changes and adapt to global trends in digital development to successfully realize their potential. There is a need to acquire a high level of digital competences and master the latest technologies to ensure higher quality education. The purpose – to determine the current state of digitization of higher education in Ukraine in view of global trends and problems that affect this process and to present the key problems and possibilities of using digital technologies in the educational activities of a higher education institution. Research methodology is based on the general scientific and special methods of cognition such us analysis, synthesis, logical method, monitoring and the method of visualization of the research results. The scientific novelty. Identified problems and possible solutions is a comprehensive analysis of the use of modern technologies in higher education, which covers both technical and pedagogical aspects. Issues and challenges faced by teachers and students are explored and innovative solutions are proposed based on an integrative approach that includes quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. This allows not only to identify and classify existing difficulties, but also to develop practical recommendations for overcoming them, contributing to the improvement of the effectiveness of the educational process. The conclusions. Digital tools have made learning more flexible, personalized and effective, which is especially important in distance education. They facilitate real-time interaction between teachers and students, expand the functionality of the platforms, but require increased attention to security issues and the combined efforts of various specialists to optimize the educational process.

The collection of rare and valuable publications as a source of historical and book studies

Relevance of research. The article presents a retrospective analysis of the book heritage preserved in the fund collection of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia scientific library, with an emphasis on the analysis of relevant documents. The importance of provenance as a historical source in the study of library funds is highlighted. The work performed included the attribution of old prints and rare editions in different directions, which highlight certain characteristics and features of the editions. The relevant ownership documents, catalogues, registers, as well as other sources of information were used in the process of attribution, which could certify the authenticity and value of book copies. The results of the performed analysis made it possible to study and reveal the composition and value of the book heritage preserved in the fund of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, scientific library. The purpose of the research is to generalize, systematize the information resource of the rare editions fund of the library and preserve the documentary heritage of the medical field for modern and future generations, to reproduce the connections between educational and medical institutions through the activities of the outstanding doctors of the 19th century. Research methodology is based on the search, analysis, study and generalization of information about the private collections of the outstanding scientists and doctors, their lifetime publications, biographical information about the authors and owners of the collections. For analytical and synthetic processing of materials, archival materials, encyclopedic and reference literature, periodicals, collections of rare and valuable publications, and other materials were used. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the fund of rare and valuable publications of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University library was not researched. Thanks to a systematic and complex approach to its study, a database was formed, where information about the documents is presented in detail in the bibliographic records. The conclusions. Through the scientific study of publications and their provenances, the library reveals the historical heritage of the medical field. Developments in this direction are designed for students of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia, where the course «History of Ukraine and Ukrainian culture. Historical and cultural heritage and traditions of the university» was launched in 2022. The research on the topic based on rare and valuable publications will expand the knowledge of the history of medicine and will be valuable to the scientific community and students of medical institutions.

Documentary linguistics: vectors of development, problems and task

Relevance of research. The article outlines the main thematic dominants of documentary linguistics based on the analysis of the vectors of its modern development. The relevance of the research is determined by the interest of scientists in the main linguistically relevant parameters of document studies in connection with integrative information processes in society. It is noted that the active development and expansion of linguistic research related to the analysis of documentation processes and the focus on interdisciplinary practical approaches to linguistic phenomena calls for the need to search for new approaches to the study of the problems of composing document text. The purpose. Is to systematize scientific research and determine the status of documentary linguistics, its problems and tasks. Research methodology. Combines theoretical aspects with practical application, which allows for a deeper understanding of the role of language in creating documents and increasing their effectiveness in communication. In particular, it is the study of theories and concepts related to the topic of document linguistics in the field of linguistics, document circulation and information activities; a review of the literature related to the language of documents, their evolution and modern requirements; formulating conclusions about optimal language strategies for different types of documents. The scientific novelty. Of the obtained results lies in the combination of several aspects that affect the understanding of documentary linguistics as a multifaceted and dynamic field and create a new understanding of it as a field that not only analyzes linguistic phenomena, but also adapts to modern needs and challenges, including technological and social changes. The conclusions. Based on the results of the research, the conclusion that document linguistics should be considered as an interdisciplinary branch of applied linguistics, which integrates knowledge from several traditional linguistic disciplines to solve practical problems related to the language of documents, is proposed.

Organization of an electronic archive of documents of a local authority

The organization of an electronic archive of documents of a local authority is an important step towards the modernization of management processes. In today’s world, where information technologies are being actively implemented in all spheres of life, the organization of an electronic archive of documents of a local authority is an extremely relevant topic. The purpose. Studying the processes of collecting, storing, processing, and providing access to documents in digital format to increase the efficiency of government agencies and improve services for the public. Research methodology. Choice of a systematic approach that allows considering the electronic archive as a complex socio-technical system. Data collection methods: documentary analysis: study of current legislation, regulations on document management and electronic archives; questionnaire: collection of information from local government employees about their experience of using electronic archives; interviewing: indepth interviews with key archival and IT professionals. The scientific novelty. The article reveals the benefits of implementing an electronic archive, the main methods and requirements for them, as well as the software research conducted, which allows local authorities to choose the right information solution. The conclusions. An electronic archive is an important organizational component of a government agency. An electronic archive in a public authority allows to form an information environment that is connected to the document management system and creates a unified document system. Such integration allows creating a hub for moving electronic documents and storing them. This allows the authority to organize work in accordance with the traditions of record keeping without losing the quality of work with documents.

Research of the components of special documentary science

Relevance of research. Despite the heated debate among Ukrainian academics of document studies about the components of special document studies, the clarification of its modern status as an integral component of the general science of documents acquires extraordinary importance. The purpose of the work is to consider the current state of research by scientists of the components of special document studies, to develop its structure and to determine the system of directions for further investigations. The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific methods of cognition, in particular analysis and synthesis, as well as systemic and communicative approaches. The scientific novelty consists in updating the problematic issues of special document studies, summarizing the researches and interpretations of leading Ukrainian specialists regarding the areas of its study, the application of interdisciplinary, problem-oriented forms of research activity and the involvement of the achievements of information sciences in the arsenal of practices of working with documents and the presentation of the author’s vision of building its general model. The сonclusions. Special documentation studies is proposed to be considered as a synthesis of related disciplines, which in one way or another investigate various types of special documentation systems, including administrative, industry, and regulatory, as well as types of special documents based on the main forms of information recording, the material medium of information, and their genre characteristics. From the mechanical processing of empirical information about special documentation systems and special documents to their generalizations, this is the way to integrate special documentation systems and special types of documents for the perfect organization of their functioning and further solving research tasks aimed at a multifaceted description of the object of study.

The influence of opinion leaders in the media space on the worldview and language culture of ukrainian society

Relevance of research. In today’s world, where information spreads at an incredible speed, the role of opinion leaders, people who have a significant influence on the audience and can shape their thoughts and behavior, becomes especially important. Despite the increase in Ukrainian-language content in the Internet space after the start of a full-scale invasion, the problem of the spread of language errors and non-compliance with language norms in the Ukrainian language, in particular, in the blogosphere and social networks, is gaining relevance. Young people are particularly susceptible to the influence of opinion leaders. Violation of language norms by these people can lead to the fact that young people will consider these mistakes as the norm, which determines the relevance of our research. This article is aimed at solving the problem and provides practical recommendations for both opinion leaders and every Ukrainian to prevent violations of language norms in the media space. The purpose. Conducting an analysis of violations of language norms that occur in the Ukrainian-language media space under the influence of opinion leaders, in particular TikTok and YouTube bloggers. Research methodology. A number of scientific approaches and methods were used in the research process: content analysis – to study the influence of opinion leaders in the media space on the language culture of Ukrainian society through social media classification method – for systematization of identified violations of language norms, which helped to understand the main problems of language culture and identify the main directions for further analysis and development of recommendations; methods of comparative and logical analysis – to identify cause-and-effect relationships between language disorders and their impact on the speech environment. The scientific novelty. A study of the influence of opinion leaders in the modern media space. The article reveals both the side effects of such influence and emphasizes the possible lowering of the status of the language and the degradation of linguistic culture due to the spread of linguistic errors and non-compliance with linguistic norms. The article contains specific practical recommendations for opinion leaders and the general public to prevent violations of language norms in the media space, which can contribute to raising the level of speech culture and preserving the linguistic identity of Ukrainian society. The conclusions. Violation of the language norms of the Ukrainian language by opinion leaders in the media space, among bloggers on the TikTok and YouTube platforms, is a rather serious problem that has many negative consequences: it can lead to distortion of content, incorrect perception of information by the audience and a decrease in the general level of linguistic culture among users, especially among young people. The recommendations provided in the article are aimed at improving the quality of bloggers’ speech and increasing the level of language literacy in the media space. All these factors highlight the importance of drawing attention to the issue of language literacy and adherence to language norms among opinion leaders in the media space, which may become a relevant topic for further research. The obtained conclusions should become the basis for the development of specific recommendations aimed at increasing the level of language culture in the media space and avoiding the negative impact of social media on Ukrainian society.

Identification of trends and implemented practices for the prevention of academic dishonesty during the training of students in the first and second educational levels in the specialty 029 Information, library and archival affairs

Relevance of research. With the modern development of information technology and the availability of resources, the problem of academic dishonesty is becoming increasingly relevant. The study of trends and best practices in the field of preventing academic dishonesty can become the basis for the development of new curricula and recommendations for teachers, which will help improve the quality of the educational process and build trust in the higher education system. The article is important for researching current challenges in education and developing effective strategies to ensure high ethical standards in the education and professional activities of future professionals in the field of information, library and archival science. The purpose of the article is to study academic integrity as an element of the higher education quality assurance system and the ethics of academic relations, in particular, to identify trends and implemented practices to prevent academic dishonesty during the training of students of the first and second educational levels in the specialty 029 Information, Library and Archival Affairs at Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, Odesa Polytechnic National University, and Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University. Research methodology. The methodological basis of the research was formed by general scientific and special methods of studying the issues, including analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, generalisation and abstraction, review, analytical, and classification methods, as well as description and comparison, which allowed to achieve the goal. The combination of these methods made it possible to identify trends and implemented practices to prevent students’ academic dishonesty during the education. 82 The scientific novelty of the work lies in the generalisation of the main approaches to the problem of preventing academic dishonesty and the outlining of a system of measures aimed at ensuring the possibility of implementing an effective academic integrity policy. The authors state that the analysed higher education institutions have created and legitimised a regulatory framework that describes at the systemic level the mechanisms for implementing the principles of academic integrity in the research and educational processes, measures to ensure compliance with the principles of academic integrity, procedures for preventing and combating violations of the principles of academic integrity. Structural units have been created to promote the principles of academic integrity and their implementation in educational and research activities. In addition, tools have been developed to implement the principles of academic integrity in the university’s educational and research activities. They perform an educational function and with their help it becomes possible to prevent cases of violation of the principles of academic integrity, as well as tools for monitoring compliance with academic integrity in the educational and research activities of a higher education institution. The conclusion. The study has shown that the average uniqueness rate of graduation qualification works of students at the first (bachelor’s) level of education in the specialty 029 Information, Library and Archival Affairs in the analysed HEIs is 82 %, and at the second (master’s) level – 93 %. The authors have identified a set of measures to ensure the implementation of an effective academic integrity policy.
